Orange Shirt Day … an Interview

Orange Shirt Day

An Interview by Lukas and William

Orange Shirt Day was on September 30. It will happen every year on this day.  Here is an interview by Lukas and William about Orange Shirt Day. They asked two ladies from our District Aboriginal Department some questions. Thanks so much to Donna Robins and Janet Stronquist for answering these questions so honestly and with grace. We learned a lot from you about Orange Shirt Day and Residential Schools.

Entering age could vary for instance my birthday is in September so I went to residential school when I was 5 as I would be turning school age a few weeks into the school year.

      Hi Lorna,

We are so sorry for your experience. You were very young when you went to Residential School. I wish we could have stopped it.

      Thank you Mr. Morgan.
It took us a few days to do this. It was fun to do.
Alannah was also part of our group, but she was away when we recorded.

      Thanks for your comment!
